This expressive still life by Swedish artist Lars Herder (1923-1976) depicts a wine glass, dish and bowl of onions. It’s lively and created with plenty of impasto.
Herder studied in Gothenburg and Copenhagen but spent many years in Helsingborg. Alongside his painting, he was also an accomplished violinist.
He exhibited regularly including at several museums.
